K1-K3 English for primary school success
Ready for primary school. Confident in class. Speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
High-quality one-to-one preparation for kindergarten and pre-primary children entering primary school English. Lessons build the skills and classroom confidence young learners need for the rigour of primary English, with a plan shaped around each child after an initial assessment.
Weekly progress is carefully tracked so parents can see how their child is improving, and weak areas receive extra attention immediately so gaps are closed before primary school begins. The result is a well-prepared, confident young learner who is ready for primary English and comfortable speaking up in class.

What is covered
Speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary are trained thoroughly and systematically, with classroom habits that help children settle into primary English with confidence.
Speaking
Clear pronunciation, confident answers and natural classroom talk. Children practise describing pictures, following spoken instructions and expressing simple ideas in full sentences so they can join in without hesitation.
Reading
Letter and word recognition, careful reading for meaning and the early comprehension habits primary teachers expect. Lessons move from decoding to understanding short texts with accuracy and calm focus.
Writing
Letter formation, spelling, sentence building and short written responses. Children learn to write neatly and clearly, with wording checked carefully so early writing habits support later school work.
Grammar
The core patterns of early English are taught in simple, memorable steps. Children learn how sentences work so they can speak and write with greater accuracy from the start of primary school.
Vocabulary
High-frequency school and everyday words are taught, recycled and drilled until recognition, meaning and spelling feel automatic. A stronger word bank supports every other skill in the lesson.
Ready for primary English
Lessons are paced for the step from kindergarten into Primary 1 English in Hong Kong. We build the classroom language, unit vocabulary and simple sentence patterns children meet in Key Stage 1 so the first term feels familiar rather than rushed. Children practise the habits schools expect: following an English-led lesson, handling short reading and writing tasks and keeping up when the marking begins. The aim is a solid start in Primary 1 not a scramble to catch up after the first test.
Confident in class
Young learners rehearse the talk that helps them settle on day one: listening to the teacher, answering in a clear full sentence and joining in without freezing when a question is rephrased. We train picture description, short explanations of likes and daily life and polite repair phrases when they need a question repeated. Mistakes are treated as working material so children keep speaking. The result is a child who participates in English lessons with a steady voice and a willing attitude.
Fully personalised one-to-one
After an initial assessment we design a weekly plan for the exact gaps that slow Primary 1 progress: speaking clarity, phonics and decoding, listening to instructions, early writing or grammar and vocabulary. Lesson length is 30 or 45 minutes depending on age so focus stays high. There is no fixed group syllabus. Each session targets the next measurable skill your child needs before primary school begins.
Clear progress for parents
Progress is checked in every lesson against the skills Primary 1 teachers and tests actually mark. Parents receive plain updates on strengths and weaker areas such as listening accuracy, oral answers, reading aloud, spelling or sentence writing. Home practice and lesson time stay aligned on the same priorities. You always know what improved this week and what we will tighten next.
Advanced Phonics for Primary 1
Many kindergarten children learn letter sounds then lose ground when primary English moves faster. We teach systematic phonics for decoding and spelling with extra attention to sounds Cantonese speakers often miss such as final consonants and close pairs like n and l. Children blend, read aloud with accuracy and encode short words so early readers and dictation lists feel manageable. Strong phonics in the pre-primary year supports reading confidence and fewer lost marks when Primary 1 spelling begins.
Classroom listening that keeps up
Primary English rewards children who catch multi-step instructions the first time: open the book, find the picture, circle the right word. We practise school-like listening under calm conditions so children hear key words, ignore noise and act accurately. Sessions also train listening for meaning in short spoken texts of the kind used in early Primary 1 papers. Better listening cuts lost marks and reduces the panic that comes from only half-understanding the teacher.
